Review: e107 is not save!

I build 2 complete sites with e107 CMS for 2 clients
Both of these sites got hacked and they used allot of bandwidth and sending spam true e107 CMS.

I wont use e107 anymore, infect i am very skeptical about any free CMS atm :S
I know in the past i used PhpNuke and that one head securetie issues also.
